ALBANY DOOR SYSTEMS HIRES DAVID LEACH
TO LEAD QUALITY ASSURANCE INITIATIVES
Lawrenceville, GA - Lawrenceville, Ga., August 2010 – Albany Door Systems announces that David Leach has joined its Americas business unit as Quality Manager. In his new role, Leach will have responsibility for all quality assurance and customer satisfaction activities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Working with sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing, Leach will head up the integration of companywide quality and strategic lean initiatives. Additionally, he will lead continuous improvement of product quality, product reliability and business systems including sharing of best practices and world class operations.

Prior to joining Albany Door Systems, Leach was with L-3 Communications Displays Systems, where he performed roles in quality assurance, field reliability, and system safety engineering for leading edge military and commercial avionics. He also has held manufacturing management positions with a medical device company and in the telecommunications industry, where he led Lean Six Sigma process/product improvement initiatives in the areas of optical cable manufacturing and fiber optic manufacturing.
Leach earned his Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University and graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master’s degree in Engineering. Additionally, he is an ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt.
